Baptist congregations are independent organizations, and are all different. So, finding the right church fit is not always easy.
We are glad that you have chosen to find out more about Central Baptist Church and we welcome you to our fellowship. We hope this quick guide helps you get to know us and experience the welcome that is the “Central” experience.
Faith - Our primary purpose is to help individuals connect with God through the good news of forgiveness, grace and service found in the stories of Jesus and his promise to offer his Spirit to empower the church, his body still at work in the world.
Liberty - We believe God has made each person free to practice and believe according to the dictates of conscience. We affirm men and women are equal before God and are equally qualified to serve and lead the church.
Excellence – We desire to offer our very best to God with honest inquiry, wholesome relationships, quality worship and broad-minded educational opportunities that are both age appropriate and deeply enriching to our spiritual lives.
Fairness - We strive to judge only ourselves while seeking to treat others with the acceptance and kindness we have experienced in Christ.
Families - We recognize that families come in all shapes and sizes. Our goal is helping families be the best they can be without telling them what “type” they should be.
Cooperation - We are willing to cooperate with other religious communities for the common good without first proselytizing them or thinking we are compromising our faith by affirming their right to believe or practice differently.
Transformation – We seek to invite and acknowledge the presence of Christ in ourselves and in the world around us.
To that end, we study, pray, worship and relate to one another with a desire to serve our community through tangible acts of missions and ministry. Our persistent aim is to become more and more Christ-like in all we say and do.
-We are an open, inclusive, welcoming, thinking and loving
fellowship of Christians -
Blessings,
