On Wednesday, Feb 26, Central is beginning the journey of Lent with an Ash Wednesday communion service at 6 p.m. We will gather in the sanctuary to share the bread and cup and observe a somber time of receiving ashes, a reminder of our creation from dust in Genesis, chapter 2, and the continued frailty of humanity throughout history. This service marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day journey, as we walk with Jesus through suffering and trials before the finality of the cross. All are welcome to participate as they desire. There will be no fellowship meal this evening.
