While originally geared to those of the Baby Boomer generation, the group welcomes participation by folks of any age. Formed as a social and service group, the Baby Boomers regularly meet for lunch, visiting local attractions and historical sites, as well as volunteering at God’s Pantry. During this time of not doing in person activities, the CBC Baby Boomers are staying in touch via Zoom meetings at 11 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month and the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.

We will welcome Kristin Hughes to this zoom meeting. She is the Director of Education and Outreach at Foodchain. Several years ago, our group toured the organization's aquaponics farm at the Breadbox on West Sixth Street. Over the years, Foodchain has expanded it activities and programs to address its mission of "forging links between community and fresh food through education and sustainable food systems." and she will tell us about that.Download Flyer
