Following last Sunday's focus on the calling of the whole people of God toward salvation and service, we now turn our attention to the special calling of serving the specific needs of the church commerated in the practice of Christian Ordination. Baptist practice ordination for those called into full-time careers as Pastors and Chaplains and those called to servant-leadership roles within the church to serve as Deacons. During this service we will ordain two new deacons to service: Jody Cabble and Claudia Hall. Reading Isaiah 50:4-9a, we will focus on the process of spiritual discernment as we seek to live out our understanding of following God's will for our life of faith together.
