March 1st begins Women’s History Month and the Baptist Women in Ministry’s Month of Advocacy. This is a month to celebrate the accomplishments of women and uplift our voices.
One way we will be celebrating at Central is listening to the voices of women in the pulpit. This month, Carrol Wilson will be back preaching as well as Hannah James, Kara Kilipatrick, and Laura Levens. Join us in receiving their message and remembering that women belong everywhere, especially the pulpit.
Another way Central is celebrating women this month is through a Women’s Bible Study that will study women in the Bible. All are welcome to join us at 11 a.m. on Fridays, starting March 7th and extending until April 11th.
If you’re unable to celebrate with us or what to do more, check out BWIM’s Month of Advocacy calendar with daily activities.
Celebrate women this month. Thank them for their sacrifices and their courage. And, when the month is over, continue to celebrate them. All women; trans, queer, straight, black, white, latina, young and old, women with different abilities, women you look up to, women who changed you.
Have a happy Women’s History Month!
