Advent Missions Opportunities

We have several opportunities to help folks in our community and region this Christmas season. From winter wear to Christmas gifts, there is plenty of need all around. We're grateful for the chance to support the good work of schools and ministries in our area.

Mitten Tree

We are collecting hats, gloves, and scarves for the children and families at Southern Elementary School. There is a tree in the foyer for hanging those items and a box to put any overflow items. Coats and winter wear of all sizes are welcomed.

Southern Elementary Tree

In the foyer, you will find a tree for families at Southern Elementary in need of Christmas help. Please take an ornament off the tree and purchase the item listed. Return those back under the tree so they can get delivered to families before the Christmas break. Items do not need to be wrapped but returned with the ornament attached.

Olive Branch Shoeboxes for Appalachia

This year we continue our support of Scarlette Jasper and the Olive Branch Ministries in their shoebox project for Appalachia. In lieu of creating those boxes, we are asking that you make financial contributions to Scarlette directly (Olive Branch Ministries, P.O. Box 1977, Corbin, KY 40702) or designate an offering to Central and we will send it along. If you do have a box created or items to fill a box, please bring those items to Central and we will get those to Scarlette.
