Recognition of Graduates

Recognition of Graduates

Let us celebrate the graduates of Central Baptist Church.

Milestones are an important part of life and our community life at Central Baptist Church. Each year we mark the special occasion of individuals in our congregation who are graduating from the different levels of education. This Sunday we celebrate those who graduated this spring and bless them on their journeys into the next stages of life. It is a particularly difficult recognition for these graduates as they were not able to celebrate with fellow classmates and teachers. Although we cannot be present together to offer our words of congratulations, please take a few minutes to write a note, text, or call these graduates as they need to feel the support of our congregation in this time of social distancing. You can contact charles@lexcentral.com for graduate contact information.

This year we celebrate the graduations of our high school seniors:

Ysabel Grace Jacobson is graduating from West Jessamine High School. She is proud to have founded the American Sign Language Club at West Jessamine. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Work Ethic Seal. Ysabel will be attending Eastern Kentucky University this fall, having received the Chairman Scholarship, and will be studying American Sign Language.

Machlie Lamartiniere is graduating from Lafayette High School where she was member of Theater Honor Society and student council. Machlie will be attending the University of Louisville in the fall, majoring in social work.

Juliette Wallace is graduating from Steam Academy. While in high school, she was an upperclassman representative on student council and inducted into the National Honor Society. Juliette will attend Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana where she will focus on theological studies and gender studies.

We also celebrate our graduates from higher education.

Emily Kincaid Berry for the completion of her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Before using her degree to specialize is pediatric physical therapy, Emily plans to enjoy time with her baby due in August.

Natalie Marye will receive her Masters of Fine Arts in Comedic Writing degree from DePaul University in Chicago in June 13, 2020.

Let us join our voices in celebrating these individuals and all the greatness they have accomplished. May they be blessed in the days to come as they continue the work of God in the world.
