How to Join
Membership at Central Baptist Church is open to anyone who desires to join their common love and hope in Christ with us.
As a member of Central Baptist Church, we commit ourselves to be on a faithful journey of hearing God's call of love in Christ and responding to one another and our world with compassion, justice, reconciliation and hope. Members are servants who seek to support and serve the church with their resources, gifts and abilities.
Whether you are seeking membership for the first time or transferring membership from another church or denomination, we welcome your participation in our community of faith.
For those who have been baptized and nurtured in a Christian tradition, membership is available based on an individual’s previous personal decision and confession in Christ. Baptism by immersion is not required as a part of this decision. We welcome re-baptism for anyone who desires to do so.
For those who have never joined a church or have never been baptized, a confession of new faith is a life-changing decision. The way of Jesus invites us to participate in a new reality of life and resurrection. This confession is wonderfully depicted in our observance of baptism by immersion. Those wishing to join our church through a new confession of faith follow this decision with baptism as a way to proclaim their love for God.
