Featuring Pastor Mark bringing the Message

Now is the time for the united voices of our country to speak out against the inhumane practice of separating children from their parents' care.  A ‘zero tolerance’ policy that subjects asylum seekers and immigrant families to indefinite detention is morally and legally unacceptable. Moreover, we must diligently work to immediately reunite the 2,000 + families that have been shattered.   There is no room for our silence while these terrible abuses and violations are underway.

Please join your Lexington - area community and attend this special UNITED Interfaith Encounter as Buddhists, Christians, Jews, and Muslims gather this Tuesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. at Christ the King Cathedral featuring Mark Johnson bringing the message.

Far from being a political statement, our gathering is a testament to people of diverse faiths who believe in the dignity of the human person and the family - however, one defines it - must be held sacred.  Our one-hour gathering will also include music, prayer, and a silent commitment to work for justice and to safeguard the dignity of children, parents, families, immigrants, refugees: all those on the peripheries who need our voice because theirs has been minimized or silenced.
