On Thursday, July 11, our CBC Baby Boomer group will visit Fort Boonesborough State Park in Madison County. The fort is a re-creation of the frontier fort founded by Daniel Boone and his men in April 1775. It was the scene of much action during the western theater of the Revolutionary War. Our activities will include viewing a film about the fort and seeing demonstrations about pioneer life by the resident artisans (e.g., blacksmiths and potters). After our visit to the fort, we will have lunch a nearby restaurant. Please contact Pat Ingram for more information.
