In the Spirit of the Advent season, join us for a Dialog of Healing and Restoration on Saturday, December 6 as we discuss how we can make Central a safe and welcoming place for all people. We will discuss recent events in our own congregation as we work toward healing and understanding. We invite open hearts as we seek the justice and mercy of Christ to lead us to a deeper understanding of how we can love one another as Christ has loved us.
Our discussion will be led by Dr. Lewis Brogdon, Executive Director of the Institute for Black Church Studies at BSK Theological Seminary. Dr. Brogdon uses leadership and scholarship to build critical thinking, passion, and resilience in students, communities, and institutions. He has thirty years of experience as a religious leader and expertise in New Testament and Black Religious Studies focusing on issues of race and social justice.
