Tree Week Event at CBC

Join Central Baptist Church, Urban Forest Initiative TreeCorps, Bartlett Tree Experts, and Seedleaf for a hands-on morning celebrating Tree Week! Please bring your own work gloves and shovel if you have them! We’ll have a few extra on hand, but bringing your own ensures everyone has the tools they need.

We’ll be spreading mulch to nourish and protect young fruit trees planted last year. As we care for these growing trees, you'll also hear exciting plans for how this space will become a free fruit orchard, providing fresh, locally grown produce for our community in the future. Whether you have a green thumb or just want to support local green initiatives, all volunteers are welcome. Come help us lay the groundwork for a fruitful future! Councilmember, Emma Curtis, who initially helped establish our young fruit tree forest, will be in attendance as well.
