An Advent Invitation to Bible Reading

Mark Johnson | November 21, 2016

As we begin the new church year and celebrate the First Sunday of Advent, I invite you to be a part of an exciting and helpful resource to take a deeper journey with your knowledge and experience of the Bible.

The goal is to provide resources to make Bible reading more "insightful, practical and transformative." Each course features 3-6 video lectures from 5-7 minutes in length.  The presenters are from a rich ecumenical community of modern and moderate scholarship mostly from Baptist, Episcopal, Methodist and Presbyterian traditions.

This first month is an introductory period with free access to these resources.  You can continue taking the course into the new year for a nominal fee.

You can find out more about taking this course for free during this season by following this link.   In today's climate of uncertainty and change, developing a deeper spritual connection with God and with one another through quality Bible study will give us hope and transformation.

The course will be available beginning November 27, but you may go ahead and sign up now.

Thanks, Mark. This sounds great. Will Central be doing a congregational subscription for continuing beyond the first month, or would we each do individual subscriptions or courses?

I was thinking individual subscriptions which, I believe, are around $ 10.00 for each additional lesson. One unit per month would be a good pace. If that's a hardship for anyone, please let the church know. Good question!
